I have definitely seen many 'typical modern applications' where the business logic can be summarized into 100 lines of code. The rest is just shoveling things around.

		It is not hyperbole. I'd say it is in the area of microservices and data crunching. Where 90% of the code is about ingesting and forwarding. Depends on your viewpoint. For some a car is just 4 wheels that take you somewhere. For a mechanic it is a world full of valves and pipes. But I hope not every team builds a car from scratch.
