As Staff Engineer/Team Lead, I led a high-performing team of 6 in a start-up environment to a successful exit a few years ago. I've spent my time since then working on some coding projects and personal development. Most recently, I built https://www.howbazaar.gg/ to assist people playing a video game. The site averaged 500k pageviews/mo and $6k/mo ad rev., but the the game is dying so I'm exploring my options.

I was asked by a CTO friend to come play fractional head of AI because they're lacking an AI story and want it before their next sale. I'm likely going to go do that since it sounds like a fun learning opportunity in a hot area, but I'd be learning Python/ML/LLM tech on the fly and it kind of muddles my trajectory. If there was a perfect fit somewhere else then I'd be interested. I would like to find myself in a leadership position (~director), still getting my hands dirty a bit, leveraging my substantial experience writing TypeScript, ideally in B2C with 50-100 employees.

I'm very good at establishing culture, working with colleagues, communicating with executives, mentorship, and being product-oriented. I'm alright at coding. I have trouble asking for help and often push myself too hard once I get excited about a project.
