How is this supposed to work, if they do a scan on various blockchains?

Most crypto trading exchanges do not settle trades on chain, so knowing the address that is linked to some account is maybe/potentialy somehow valueable, but i doubt that this will lead to greater insights that anybody can make a substantial plus.
