No, the "rich" people I've provided tech support to are the juiciest targets and get hit regularly because avoiding malware/phishing/etc. doesn't even register on their daily thought process and everything is just something to get through to get to the next important thing You would not believe what a person can manage to install on their MacBook nowdays... it used to be "Flash Player updates" that got them, now I don't even know where this stuff comes from | |||||||||||||||||||||||

I get these 419 scam emails and think "who would believe $10 million would fall out of the sky?" and the only conclusion I can come to is "someone who already had $10 million fall out of the sky". Some rich people are really shrewd, but people who inherit it often aren't. I had a friend growing up who was from a family that inherited a fortune from a European conglomerate, they were trying to get my parents to get into Amway (poor, but too smart for that shit) and involved in right wing politics. |
