I doubt that would happen in the U.S. - it seems like there would be too many liability issues around the possibility of innocent bystanders getting injured by a drone in pursuit of someone. Also, a lot of employees are getting crap wages and would not want to take the risk of injuring someone if they were personally piloting the drone because they could be personally sued for injuring a bystander in the drone pursuit. If fact, the store employee in this case could even be sued even if they weren't piloting the drone themselves, eg. if they were the one who only reported the shoplifting.

I hope they pick up the Hellfire missile option.

“Shoplifter, put down your packages and put up your hands. You have 10 seconds to comply!

you just stole something, and now someone thinks sending a drone after you wont result in that being stolen as well.

After seeing the overwatch drone's video of that, your defense att'y suggests you plead guilty to all charges.

Ties in with all the UK stores using Facial recognition and Project Pegasus.

After all, how would a drone operator know who the shop lifter was, unless he had access to all the scanned faces and the shoplifter was identified.

Keep a look out for small launch pad on the roof of your local store.

here are the UK Facial recognition Offenders.
