Tech can fix everything: whethers its: climate change, Covid, obesity, traffic accidents, or drug overdoses, big claims! I actually do have all the answers because I too am an opinionated know it all. climate change = ban all tech and ban all oil based products and go back to living like human beings. Obesity = ban all fast food, ban all foods that have been squirted out of a machine, ban all ultra-processed foods. Traffic accidents = reduce the speed limits, The 20MPH speed limit has been very successful in reducing road deaths in London UK. Drug overdose. = legalise all drugs so that only top quality drugs are available and are not cut with dangerous shit that kills people. Covid = change its name back to the flu. Force the W.H.O to reinstate the earlier definition of a vaccine. Be honest with people and tell them that the covid injection only reduces symptoms, does not prevent infection and is not a vaccine as defined pre 2021. Then, if you catch covid, you know that can have the covid injection, safe in the knowledge that it is a preventative measure and not a real vaccine. | ||

I largely agree with this article (a few minor nitpicks here and there, maybe this biggest one is identifying the left as anti-science, which I won’t completely disagree with how he framed it, then goes on to talk about the magic of the mRNA vaccine the right is trying to actively divest from, but I digress) The either-or nature of politics is kind of crazy. AI as a solution to misinformation feels distopian to me, not like as a tool, but like social cohesion and community should still be maybe a bigger goal for our society that social-engineering / brain hacking. But then of course the tech bros also have their pathologies with Peter ”I don’t know of the human race is worry saving” Thiel I protest and authoritarianism from the left is not the solution, but the tech right hasn’t been showering themselves with glory either, what happened to the tech optimism of the early 00s and not Marc Andreesens, “tech over people” of 2025. |
