| Yes, Netanyahu thought that pulling out of Gaza completely, giving them money and allowing them to hold jobs in Israel would improve their economic standing enough to make them docile enough to not attack. He was obviously wrong. And preferring them to the PLO in the wake of the second intifada was reasonable. All Palestinian groups claim to want to kill all Jews, but at that point in time the PLO had actually done it for decades. For the record, the PLO still has the pay-to-slay program... |
