It is interesting to have an official statement on the subject from Apple. I’ve always been against the DMA (I’m French), and agree with all the points here.

IMHO, Apple should replace whatever team wrote this drivel if they’re the front of the argument. It’s not even that I necessarily disagree with the points. I appreciate them laying out the challenges, and there’s perhaps some kernels of reasonable arguments buried in there, but the rest is just so poorly phrased it would lose a high school debate. This is a masterclass in a poor argument and a masterclass in poor marketing to boot. A more proficient writer could have phrased each argument more succinctly and laid out the benefits to the user. As an exercise I considered how one might do so and it’s not hard. All feelings about the company aside, this is just a bad PR statement.

I never bought Apple and never will. Get away from the continent, you closed business who can't play competitions by the rules |
