I think this is more a testament to how soundly mobile platforms have been gimped for software development in general, there is essentially zero mindshare for development upon these platforms even though the devices have become as powerful as some laptops and can be very cheaply supplemented with keyboard/mouse/screen - and are the only computing device half the world owns.
