I'm not a native English speaker, and I don't want to be disrespectful, but to me, Mr. Trump speaks like a child. His vocabulary is limited, his sentences are poorly constructed, and there's a lot of repetition. Could it be that he's not really in full possession of his intellectual faculties? https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/06/us/politics/trump-speeche... https://theconversation.com/we-analyzed-9-years-of-trump-pol... https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trum... https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2025/05/trump-agi... https://www.statnews.com/2024/10/27/trump-harris-biden-medic...

No need to pull punches. He's been talking this way in public since before his first term.

It's likely the result of being very rich, allegedly narcissistic according to Mary Trump, and never being told "no". As far as mental faculties go, it could be compounded by decompensation due to age, poor diet, poor health, and generally bad self-care habits. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised he's still ambulatory and vertical and appears to have more energy than Biden. |
