Very slightly OT: My view is that Volvo got big in Sweden because they took moose accidents seriously, designing their cars to handle head-on collissions. Essentially strenghtening the A pillars a lot. (I have this memory from when I grew up in the 80s: one of my friends' dad died from a head-on collisson with Moose.) | ||

i forget exactly what make n model but there is a geometry that results in the moose legs getting clipped out and the animal goes exactly through the windshield resulting in fatality near every time. |
