If Nick Clegg really cared about anything, he wouldn't have become the chief lobbyist for Meta. Now that he's out of the states and no longer at Meta, he's most likely rehabilitating his career to re-enter politics, just like Rishi did after his stint in high finance. The Tories are in the midst of a tailspin, and a Nick Clegg-style National Dem candidate has an interesting opportunity to peel away higher income Tories and centrists, as Reform peels away lower income or nativist British voter, and this is a shot at the incumbent Labour party. He's only 57 so he has plenty of time to wait it out and re-enter the scene, as well as the dry powder. | ||||||||
