The problem is the government is so weak and slow: the corporations can implement some bad decision before the government has a chance to notice and regulate. There needs to be more stakeholders with power at the corporate decision-making table than just the shareholders and their representatives. You need workers there, you needs someone to speak for the interests of the country as a whole, etc. |
