Anyone using Meta Ray-Bans should be aware that your data is collected and used for AI training. There is no opt-out unless you're from EU. Also, the old Meta View companion app one day was renamed into the Meta AI app and started to provide ChatGPT like functionality. 1) “Meta AI with camera use is always enabled on your glasses unless you turn off ‘Hey Meta", which basically makes glasses defunct. 2) “voice transcripts and stored audio recordings are otherwise stored for up to one year to help improve Meta’s products.” [1] https://www.theverge.com/news/658602/meta-ray-ban-privacy-po...

Incredibile how people can still discuss the pure tech when it's tainted with Meta's touch. How much can they do before some people think twice? Or are they all employees?

i wonder if the CCPA applies here. too bad… I have trouble imagining they wouldn’t get enough data by just being opt-in by default like chatgpt.
