Does it? Some of the words are the same but I think they refer to different things. The author of the article is talking about processing speed for tasks that belong in Kahneman's slow system 2, not about some personal preference/aptitude for slow over fast the way Kahneman means it. | ||

The author is saying in many situations he is applying type 2 thinking when he should be applying type 1. His volleyball experience for example. The book discusses this. Albeit for most people the problem is the reverse. They are applying type 1 thinking to situations that require type 2. | ||
