I never ever had a problem of not being sure how to go back in an iOS app, so I don't see why a dedicated button is such a missing feature. Polish is also about visual consistency and Android is behind on that front. | ||||||||

I switched to an iPhone five years ago and still miss the consistency of the Android back button. If a webpage embeds a full-width map, for example, the Safari back swipe is blocked by a pan action, and you need to jiggle the page's scroll to get the back button to show up at the bottom. | ||||||||

iOS is filled with UI junk at this point. Not having a consistent way to go back is the least of my problems when attempting to use my wife's iPhone. It is the most obvious though, having to tap right at the top left (usually) of the screen for the most frequently used action is incomprehensible. | ||||||||
