I've been praying for a good e ink phone and laptop for years.

I'd love something similar to the Lightphone but a bit smarter.

And a laptop or device I can code with outdoors at a picnic table in broad daylight.

I want a clamshell that has one OLED/LCD screen and one e-ink screen. Both should be multi-touch. The hinge should pivot (like an omnibook) so that either screen can be visible when close.

Besides the obvious benefit of having a single tablet with both types of screen, in "laptop mode", the e ink screen could be used as a soft keyboard and touch pad.

Something like this in phone sizes could be really great too.

I too share your desire to code outdoor. When I don't find options, I ask myself if I should be dreaming of work/code when a part of me is trying to be in nature or with people around :P
