"why is there no blog-like archive?"

it feels like they will be prime example for modern lost media

Most newsletters I receive do have that!

		but were you signing up for a newsletter - or a subscription to a blog? it's a lot easier to make blog posts and then distribute them by email as well all newsletters I've encountered that advertised as newsletter didn't have blogs, sadly :/
