> Tesla probably has more revs than any other major manufacturer. Not even remotely. There's two things. When it comes to software, other manufacturers essentially ship complete and tested software. Of course there are firmware updates every now and then, but they're rare and treated like a big deal and a recall. Tesla is just constantly pushing out beta software to their cars. So having more revs in that case isn't even close to a good thing. When it comes to the wholistic model revs, they are worlds away from other manufacturers. For example, both Kia and Hyundai have almost as many EV models as Tesla in a quarter of the time while also having dozens of various hybrid and ICE models across several different markets. And they rev these models every year and have major redesigns every few to five years or so. And their quality and reliability are leaps and bounds above Tesla models. Every single model of Teslas has remained unchanged in the body style and overall construction since they were introduced, which is over a decade for two models. |
