I don't think new car models are Tesla's biggest problem. The biggest damage is done by Elon himself with his stupid nazi gesture. If he had no idea joking about nazis would make him unpopular in the EU where WWII still has deep traces he's an idiot. Any CEO in the EU would be forced by the board to publicly apologise for that kind of behaviour and by refusing to do so he remains a walking insult to EU history. The US exiting it's role as world leader and a stable partner of the EU also doesn't help but it's mostly about Musk.

Although BYD seems best positioned to scale up production they will have to compete with other Chinese manufacturers like Geely (Volvo, Lynk, Zeekr, Polestar) that are already quite popular in the EU. And even Volkswagen and Stellantis seem to have their EV stories on the rails now.
