George is the clothing brand of the ASDA supermarket chain in the UK, which Walmart used to own. I'm not sure if it's a brand they use worldwide though; I don't really go to Walmart when in the US. Either way, that's why they own it, presumably.

When a supermarket's own clothing brand has its own TLD. What a time to be alive.

Just checked underpants.george and, disappointingly, it's not being used.

https://www.walmart.com/search?q=George finds quite a bit but why they’d pay for that TLD and not for any of the other store brands they have is unknown.

At least as far back as the the 90s Walmart was selling George clothing in the US too. IDK what predates what, though. Or if they are currently.

There was also a George magazine, which... I think belonged to RFK (Senior)?

It was introduced to Walmart in 1999 when they bought Asda: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_(fashion_label)
