Even if we haven't yet seen any serious rollout of AI in the workplace that could replace junior workers, I think that companies have _been told_ that is is coming (by the many companies hoping to be "the one" to provide that service) and while they're not firing people they're also not hiring new junior staff as much since they "will soon be replaced by automated systems".
