This is WhatsApp's fault. "Settings > Chats > Save To Photos OFF" should fix it

That doesn't fix it, that just means I don't see WhatsApp photos.

I want the two photos in different places.

How does Android fix that?

		Android has directories (folders), and it doesn't pretend they don't exist. If you go to "Collections" -> "Photos on Device" it then shows separate folders "Camera", "WhatsApp Videos", "WhatsApp Photos", "Screenshots", etc, etc.
