I've used Jira at dayjobs, and presently am using clickup at my small business (we are on a paid plan). I like clickup, but it is _too slow_. It is soooo annoying to wait 5(!) seconds for every page load. I wish I could get a simpler, less-featured version, with uglier graphics, that loads in 0.2 sec. If you have made something like this, send me a link and I'll try it out. If clickup folks see this: please make it load faster.

How about something in CLI? You can just “jira create”, “jira ls”, etc.

Another interesting dynamic -- it may hard to tell if some tool is fast enough during early evaluations. I believe clickup was fast when we first tried it, but now that we have lots of tasks in it, it's slowed down. This could just be my poor memory though. |
