State Capitalism is pretty clearly a winning formula at this point. I believe that the investment in Intel by the US Gov is the prelude to far more. Expect to see more US emulation of China.

It's clear that without firm guidance most public companies lack the ability to plan beyond the next fiscal quarter. State intervention seems to be the solution to that.

The fact that intel has no idea what to do or how to be relevant remains.
