		My point was a kludge effectively purges most of the installed base... thus removing the traditional advantage Microsoft has leveraged over the years. Notably, it additionally undermines any kind of benefits ARM could offer over amd/intel chips. Microsoft is not Apple, and users that purchase half of what they expected will not end well. The Apple community has already experienced massive shifts in hardware, and naturally deprecates old software in shorter life-cycles.
