Maker spaces seem to have the right hacker ethos around explore, tinker, finish. I'm on a bunch of retrocomputing discords where youth still find obscure old systems, typically Sun, SGI and the parallel universe IBM systems (mainframes and as/400 line), and manage to figure them out. |
