I'm a seasoned VP of Engineering / CTO; I've been an exec at startups ranging from pre-seed through Series D where I built a reputation for hiring stellar engineers and iterating on products quickly while maintaining quality, security, and morale. I moved from NYC to Oregon in the pandemic and love it here, so I'm hanging out a shingle as an advisor / coach to founders & CTOs.

I specialize in lubricating the critical surface between the dev organization and the rest of the business:

- for non-technical founders, I can help you better understand dev management and make good tradeoffs between throughput, quality, security, and team burnout

- for technical founders, I can help you get leverage (i.e. build a strong team) so you can step back from the code and focus on building your vision

- for CTOs, I can help you better understand and work with your CEO and the rest of the exec team: marketing, sales, ops, finance etc.
