It's not that LLMs are bad, they're very useful. It's that the media they produce is, in fact, slop. I want to watch Breaking Bad, not AI generated YouTube shorts. I want to listen to "On the Radio" by Donna Summer, not some Spotify generated piano solo. I want to read a high quality blog post about tech with a unique perspective, not an LLM summary of said blog post that removes all the charm. The gap in quality, when it comes to entertainment, is truly astronomical. I mean, it's not even kind of close. I would expect literal children to produce content - after all, Mozart was a prodigy. |
