Already has in some fields — AlphaFold solved the folding of 2e8 proteins, whereas all of humanity only managed 1.7e5 in the last 60 years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlphaFold Even just the training run for modern LLMs would take humans millennia to go through the same text. | ||||||||
