What LLMs are doing to us is similar to the well known EEE (Embrace Extend Extinguish) strategy used by Microsoft. Today we're embracing LLMs as our helpers. Tomorrow LLMs will extend our intelligence with skills that can't be done without LLMs and everyone will have to use these brain-extenders to participate in the society. Finally LLMs will become advanced enough to not need us.
