Ever try and grab...and hold onto, a salmon that is trying to swim upstream? I have, and there was nothing I could do to hold it, with both arms in a bear hug, thrash, thrash, THRASH, gone.... big bad critters that are already ignoring all kinds of risks. Salmon are moving north and colonising new rivers, which likely means needing different behaviors to deal with unfamiliar food, or eat now!, worry about digestion later. They got teath so I am guessing that gettin bit by salmon is likely going to become a thing we hear about, only fair seeing how often we are bittin on them
