Thank you for applying! We send an email upon application submission acknowledging receipt which notes that we send further communications if we see a strong match. Our team reviews every application and encourage you to continue to apply for roles for which you’re a strong match. Thanks again for your interest and I’m happy to answer specific questions via email (madigan.ford@fathom.video).

Just as a note, as someone qualified for the position, this response convinced me not to apply. Not taking the time to let candidates know that you chose not to move forward with them demonstrates a lack of care and compassion, and I now associate that that attitude with Fathom as a business.

Yep. Especially when you know you have the qualifications. If it's not a match, despite meeting your written qualifications, then how about you at least update your requirements so I don't waste my time?

Also, the application process requires me to download their Fathom software anyways. The least they can do is respond with a rejection.

As someone that was accepted for their interview process, you aren't missing much. I was halfway through the live technical when I just noped out. Still finished it, but knew I wouldn't be interested in progressing beyond it.

All people want is a brief email saying you're not moving forward. This takes very little effort on your part and builds goodwill. It's super-important to treat all the people you don't hire with empathy and respect; they'll tell everyone about a poor experience.
