I’ve been building Velty[1] over the past year as a tool to tame my ever-growing YouTube subscriptions. It’s a web app (PWA) that lets you organize your YouTube channels and videos into folders (with sub-folders), and view all the latest videos in one chronological feed with powerful filtering/sorting. I built it because I was frustrated with how hard it was to manage a large number of channel subscriptions using YouTube’s default interface.

This is great! It's very close to something I desperately want to exist: a way to peruse the YouTube videos' my friends are watching. My algo often gets bad, and the best recommendations for YouTube videos come from friends' suggestions. And sometimes I just want to be recommended something totally different than what my algo would know about. Would it be possible to add that feature?
