For #2, someone once said there are two pricing models (was it Joel Spolsky? Don't recall..): $0 - $999 - direct sale/download, pricing on website $50,000+ - full sales team, no pricing on website And essentially not much in between... this has perhaps changed a bit with SaaS, but this is still semi true. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I don’t think this is true anymore. Firebase, auth0, AWS, figma and many more SaaS obliterated this dichotomy |
