Well, both of those are subjective terms but if it’s effective it’s effective. The most effective movements are usually a combination of protest and civil disobedience. Considering livelihoods are under threat I wouldn’t condone nor blame anyone for even going one step further. | ||

I don't know if protest actually does work. It can certainly be used to "legitimise" some course of action preferred by one group of elites. But there are so, so many examples of protest achieving nothing at all - or even having the opposite effect. | ||
