The problem with this topic is it gets wound up with the whole Elon Musk thing. His supporters claim the problem doesn't exist because of asteroids and space dust, his opponents think it will completely destroy the ozone layer. The truth is somewhere in the middle and we should do the research to figure it out. If it does turn out to be a problem we should already start thinking about possible solutions. Denying the problem exists or shutting down megaconstellations are not solutions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
