The core issue here is one of companies lying about the service and the price. TOS should not be allowed to hide price at time of checkout, which they effectively are doing by allowing selling personal data. So the fix is simple. if they are going to make additional money on you after the service ends and that is considered part of the payment then it should be clearly displayed as part of the cost and NOT allowed in the TOS. This should be required by law. If you are making money off of me and I don't know it it should be a crime. You stole from me.
