I think the level of success one wants also require having a check for delusion and realism. If a "51 year old short limp" thinks they are going to be a star basketball player, they are delusional and no longer realistic.

How many people right here on HN have you seen over the years who built something and have no idea about marketing or a go to market strategy or knew anything about sales?

That’s the equivalent of a 51 year old with a limp not being self award enough to know that I don’t have the skills to be a basketball player just because I can dribble.
