After spending months building an AI chatbot no one used, I experienced myself first hand why most side projects fail: they solve problems no one has. Inspired by Paul Graham’s essay on getting startup ideas https://www.paulgraham.com/startupideas.html, I decided to stop chasing new technologies and wanted to start focusing on solving real problems I experience daily. To make this process easier, I built FireUp. It’s a simple app that lets you log your daily annoyances and includes an AI to turn them into actionable startup ideas. By logging your daily annoyances you can easily spot recurring patterns and start side projects that solve them. The integrated AI feature let’s you select a certain annoyance and the AI will suggest potential MVPs, feasible for solo founders, and provides a starting point for validating ideas. You can also add new startup ideas manually if you don’t want to use any AI features. As this is my first app, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
